I swear to you, as glorious my life may look via Instagram and Facebook, it is not. It’s stressful and hectic- but hey, isn’t that how everyone’s is? Over the three day weekend, I took time to photograph a day in my life- on the day off naturally-, as well as what I ate (and I remembered everything!!… almost). Let’s begin.
6:00-7:00: Wake up and workout. I did a 25 minute cardio session followed by thirty five minutes of legs and arms. Wasn’t too intense but it really got my day going!
7:00-8:30: COFFEE. COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE. I take this time to have my *multiple* cups of coffee and catch up on social media. Even on school mornings, I make at least thirty minutes to do this. I could go on and on about how much better I feel afterwards, and I mean… COFFEE.
8:15: Forgot to photograph, but I had a piece of avocado toast before my tennis lesson. Perfffeect fuel (and who doesn’t love avo toast?) This photo’s pretty old, but you get the point.
8:30-9:30: Tennis lesson. Naturally on a day off I spent part of it playing tennis and eating… describes me 😉
10:00-10:30: Make breakfast. The breakfast of choice? Apple pie oats (aka an extremely underrated combo) with cranberries and chocolate peanut butter. This post is becoming very predictable…
10:30-11:00: Eat breakfast and watch football shows- duh! While I was eating, I roasted some veggies and started my lunch prep for the week back in the kitchen #multitasking
11:00-11:30: Finish the veggie stew for the week and prep school lunches. It felt so good to get this done, and lets be honest- I was procrastinating the studying I had to do…
11:30-2:00: Two and a half hours spent studying for math. Fun fact- I spent twelve hours total studying over the tree day weekend, so fingers crossed I did well on the exam 😉 I’m in pre-calc if anyones wondering, and no- I do not plan on ever using it in life.
Shoutout to the birthday boy himself, and my part time math tutor, who spent the day with me helping me master sin and cos! The REAL MVP.
Random, but since I got hungry 1/2 way through, I picked off some cauliflower and broccoli stems and steamed them for a snack. I LOVE steamed stems- my newest obsession!!
1:30-2:00: Photograph the veggie soup for the blog. It’s such a simple side dish and since I’m under the weather, it’s perfect right now!!
The setup… I mean, I’ve seen sketcher 😉
2:00-2:30: Make a quick lunch while I do some last minute math prep. I was finally done with math for the day when my lunch was ready, so again- multitasking is my best friend.
2:30-3:30: Eat lunch, catch up on social media, and shower. It felt so good to relax after a long weekend of studying, and with the four blog posts I had to write, it was needed.
Lunch- roasted veggies (kale, brussel sprouts, multi-colored carrots all in coconut oil), baked tempeh, a fried egg, and some left over avocado- classic Danielle meal
3:30-5:15: Write some blog posts, catch up on emails, and hang out with my family. It was my grandfathers birthday, so I wanted to make sure to spend the day with him!
Random, but I’m obsessed with sparking water, and this is my current favorite flavor!!
Yeah, yeah yeah- still haven’t fixed the Mac… really need to get on that -_-
5:15-6:15: My grandfather wanted Chipolte for his birthday dinner, so I didn’t have any complaints! I adore this man with all my heart, and am so glad I got to spend the day with him. 84 never looked so good!
In my bowl- sofrita’s, guac, extra lettuce, alllllll the salsas, and black beans 😉
6:30-8:00: Come home, watch the Warriors-Cavs game, and go over my history DBQ one more time before I turned it in on Wednesday. Strange to think the DBQ was the least of my worries this weekend… oh math.
8:00: My nightly bowl of cereal! I go to bed really early because I wake up so early for school, in case you’re wondering. In the bowl- puffed kamut, One Degree Organics flakes, frozen blueberries, and cinnamon. Gah- this combo >>>
8:45: Off to bed! That was a special day for me because I didn’t see my friends, I spent my day studying, and I over all wasn’t feeling too great (I’ve been sick for five days). Wasn’t a normal eating day for me but what can you do.
What’s an average day like for you?
