Hey there! My name’s Danielle and I reside in San Diego. Welcome to my blog.
I’m Danielle, a country music loving sarcastic 17 year old who loves football and is terrified of snakes. My blog was started after years of eating processed, disgusting food that was harming my body. I was a competitive figure skater for ten years, and when I quit during my freshman year of high school, I knew I needed to eat healthier and work out to stay healthy. So, I discovered tennis, weight training, plant-based eating, and the rest is history! I created my Instagram, @tennishealthfitness, during my sophomore year of high school and have never looked back. I’m now 17, a senior, managing my blog and Instagram, playing tennis 3+ times a week, and trying to find time for a social life. Oh, and I’m also a grandma who goes to bed at 10:30 on the weekends.
Exercise is a huge part of my life, and is one of my favorite things to do. My main forms of exercise are strength training 3-4x a week with some high intensity incline walking (aka put the treadmill at it’s highest incline and a decent speed) for 35 min 3x a week. I hate running, so that’s why I do incline walking. I also play tennis 3+ times a week, and am constantly moving. I cannot sit still for the life of me, so I’m usually on the go. I also love going on long hikes, paddle boarding in the ocean, and hot yoga as other forms of movement.
Above everything else, I preach listening to your body and knowing what works for you / what is right for you. We are all not one and the same, and what works for me may not work for you.

As for my diet, I eat an 85-90% plant based diet, with some exceptions like yogurt and eggs. I gave up red meat when I was 11, and have slowly cut out all animal products. I don’t know if I’ll ever go fully vegan, but for now, I’m content with my diet. My favorite foods are brussels sprouts, oatmeal, nut butter, and pasta, and I always preach nutrients > calories.
