I’ve realized that a lot of my pancake recipes involve things that can be hard to get (i.e protein powder). That’s why I made this recipe- it’s easy to make, doesn’t require a ton of ingredients, and all the supplies can be found at a local Target. I present- Banana Oat Pancakes.
These are sooooo tasty. When I first started eating healthy but didn’t know any recipes, I made these all the time. They’re so simple even a teenager could make them 😉
INGREDIENTS (Serves one):
1/4 cup oat flour (If you don’t have oat flour, blend up oats in a blender)
1 banana, mashed
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup almond milk
Dash of cinnamon
Optional- 2 tbsp apple sauce (Not necessary, but makes the batter more thick and have a better consistancy)
Combine flour, banana, eggs, silk, baking powder, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a large bowl, and mix well. Make sure the egg yolks get everywhere. The batter will be of a thicker consistency, but that’s what you want. On a pan, add either a tsp of oil or non stick spray (I use non stick spray). Turn the stove onto a low-medium heat and add your batter. Once the pan is heated up, these won’t take long to cook, so make sure you’re watching the mixture. Once done, simple repeat the steps as stated above. When the entire mixture is done, put on a plate, add your toppings (I love strawberries + greek yogurt) and enjoy!
