This Blueberry Banana Power Smoothie is protein packed, full of nutrients, and takes five minutes to make! It’s made with collagen, minimal ingredients, and makes for a great quick meal.
First off, I wanted to apologize for no post on Friday. I didn’t want to put out poor content for the sake of getting a post out, but trust me, this smoothie today is WORTH it.
Anyways, guys- I’m in the home stretch! I had my AP test last week ago, and thankfully, I have no finals this year (shoutout to projects and essays!) That means in just a week or so, I will be done with senior year and packing for Italy!!
My mom is currently trying to relearn Italian (she studied it in college), and I’m over here researching ALL the places to eat. I’ve already found a vegan gelato place in Venice, but if you got any more recommendations, holla at me (I’m not kidding).
Whenever I travel, I always make sure to pack in a ton of greens and nutrients before I leave, because I know I’ll be indulging in tons of dessert, pizza, and all things carbz. Carbs aren’t bad, but I know that my diets about to be 90% carbs, 5% fat, and 5% protein. I want to fill my body with nutrients to balance that out!
Smoothies are my favorite way to pack in greens, proteins, carbs, and fats. They’re my current go-to lazy meal for when I’m running late for school, and I kid you not- I’ve eaten this particular smoothie combo three times this week.
This blueberry banana power smoothie is FILLED with nutrients, and it starts with the protein. Using a high quality protein powder in your smoothie greatly effects the results of it, which is why I love Vital Proteins. Vital Proteins just launched their new Organic Collagen Veggie Blend, and I am IN LOVE! I thought I wouldn’t like it because of the smell and color, but after adding it to my smoothie, I couldn’t even taste it.
This powder helps me get in over 11 servings of greens and fruits! Plus, there’s over 20 grams of collagen, which helps with skin, hair, and nail growth! Combine it with the banana, blueberries, frozen cauliflower, spinach, and almond milk and this is the perfect quick smoothie!
