Blueberries have always been a favorite fruit of mine for so many reasons, but for some reason, I’d never thought of adding it to my oatmeal. However, I’ve started adding them every time I make my oatmeal, and it adds so much. Adding blueberries are a greta way to get more fiber all while adding color!
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup milk of choice- I use almond
1/2 cup water
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
Handful of blueberries
Toppings of choice
In a pot, combine milk, water, and vanilla extract. Bring this mixture to a boil. Once boiling, add oats and blueberries. Reduce the heat and cover with lid, stirring it every minute or so. You’ll know it’s done when all the liquid is absorbed. Once done, transfer from pot to a bowl. Add your toppings (I usually add a few more blueberries) and enjoy!
