I’ve been slacking on my monthly favorites I will admit… I haven’t really had anything new pop up into my life that is worth documenting (besides the potential world record I could break for APUSH notecards, but that’s a whole other blog post). I’m getting back on the monthly favorites bandwagon today with November- aka the last month before December, aka the best month out of the entire year (besides the stress of pre-winter break assignments and assessments).
1.) Apple Oats
Around this time of year, everyone and their mother are eating apples with their oatmeal. There’s really no judgment here though, as I know I am (raised arm emoji x infinity). They’re the perfect fall food, and with the added fiber from the apple, they keep me full for hours! Plus, they are very Instagram worthy 😉
2.) Smoothie Bowls
Contradicting myself a bit here, but California has been doing through a MINOR (I.E 90% humidity in the middle of October) heat wave. I kid you not… I am in full sweat getting ready some mornings. That’s why smoothie bowls are so perfect. Throw frozen fruit in a blender, add some protein powder and toppings, and boom! I’ve had these for dinner way too many times (no shame, right)?
3.) Football Season
I LOVE FOOTBALL… but you already knew that. No, seriously- football season is my absolute favorite time of year. I got to go to a few football games this season, which is a rarity for me. I get pretty intense at games though, which usually isn’t good for the people next to me 😉
Target is everyones first love, admit it. When you were five your mom would take you there to get the latest barbie, and now… you’re a young adult going there to purchase different frozen fishes and to look at cereals. Zero judgment here, because what I just described is my life. I’ve also noticed that I wear a lot of Target as well. My go-to purse is from there, as well as my ballet flats (pictured below) that get worn 5/7 days of the week 😉
5.) Coffee Shop Studying
Where I live in California, I struggle to find cute coffee shops. I do have one, however, that has become my second home. Located in the same plaza as Whole Foods (match made in heaven), this coffee shop is the perfect vibe for me. I like to go there on a Saturday afternoon when the games aren’t too exciting and get work done. It helps because I tell myself that I cannot leave until I finish everything, which is always a big motivator. Plus… I have an excuse to drink more coffee 😉
Those are my current favorites, but what are yours?
