Hi, so life is KINDA crazy.
First off, my birthday’s in a few days… UM WHAT. Second, I leave for camp soon, which means I got a lot to do in terms of blog work and such. Lastly, I have a new job. It’s nothing much- just a nice summer job to make some money. Because of my new job, I’m doing double the recipe’s just in case. Life’s moving very quickly, but I’m not stressing.
I decided to document a day in which I’m NOT working. Life is very different right now, so I thought it’d be fun to document. I shot this on a Sunday, in case anyone was wondering.
I woke up around 7:00 and immediately ran for coffee. On the weekends, I take my time to plan out the week, drink my coffee, and ease into the day. I play tennis with my mom and her friends on Sunday’s, so I don’t have a ton of time. But, I still get to enjoy my coffee!
Pre-tennis was something my mom loves, and since I was out of avocado’s, I thought I’d give it a try. It’s a microwaved egg with melted cheese on top of some toasted bread. Of course, I added hot sauce, because I like things spicy (duh). Turns out that I really liked the combo, so I’ll defiantly be making this again!
Then, I went off to play three hours of tennis with my mom, who was my doubles partner this day. Afterwards, it was around noon and we were STARVING, so I drove us to Nekter and we had a mother daughter brunch date!
My mom’s bowl- the peanut butter one that looked BOMB. Mine was the new mango acai, which was absolutely delicious.
Look at how cute she is!
We did a quick run to Trader Joes, and then went home. I had some blog work to do, so I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and sit outside. I wrote a few blog posts, and then finished up my book. It’s called Private: #1 Suspect. I love anything James Patterson, and this has to be one of my favorites! I also drank a kombucha, which I’ve discovered is my new obsession.
Then, I proceeded to go inside and make lunch. It was about 85 degrees this day, so you better believe I wasn’t putting the oven on. Actually, my mom has a rule that I can’t use the oven during the day… so yeah, a greek yogurt bowl was necessary. I topped mine with Purely Elizabeth granola, creamy almond butter, pistachios, and berries. Boy did it hit the spot!
I proceeded to binge watch Prison Break with my mom before dinner, which I wasn’t complaining about. My mom and I are OBSESSED- I don’t think we’ve ever gone through a show so quickly.
Sunday’s are our family dinner’s, and I was in charge. My mom made the salmon, which was the best salmon I’ve ever had, and I made the vegetables. I opted for roasted carrots, kale, and tomatoes. SO GOOD.
And because I was lacking carbs at dinner, I made a slice of sourdough toast with pesto, feta, and tomatoes right afterwards. Fu fact- sourdough is my all time favorite bread!
After dinner, my mom, dad, and I took our four Siberian Huskies (yes- FOUR) out for a sunset walk. I didn’t snap any photos because I wanted to enjoy the time with my parents. I’m realizing that time with my parents is becoming more and more valuable, so I’m not going to waste it. It was GORGEOUS out. Since it’s been super hot in San Diego, walking around 6:00 is the perfect time.
So, after the walk, I watched the Pretty Little Liars season premiere (um, what is going on with this show???). I’ve been watching it since it first came out, so I think the only reason I’m still watching is because I’m a loyal follower. Afterwards, I finished up my book, had a few peanut butter cups, and went to bed. That’s all for today!
