Two months in a row- go me!
How was the month of April for y’all? For me, it was pretty interesting. You’ll see why right… about… NOW!
What I Ate: I got to try so many new foods this month. Some of those foods include these juices from Juice in the Raw, which I am surprisingly a fan of! I’m not a green juice person, but their kits make me want to have them more often. While they’re originally meant to be a cleanse kit, I told them I wasn’t going to do the cleanse. The juices are so good though, so check em out!
What I love about these juices is that they are sweetened with apples and not artificial sugar. Most green juices are over processed to make them taste good, but these stray away from that. They provide a good serving of greens, fruits, and overall taste to get you through the morning or afternoon. I think my favorite is the Sweet Greens because of the extra sweetness, but they’re all good!
I also got to try Simple Mills new crackers, and I am IN LOVE. My favorite flavor has to be the Rosemary and Sea Salt, but honestly, all of them are delicious. They make the perfect snack, especially with hummus 😉
Speaking of hummus, I finally tried the Hope Foods Sriracha hummus, and am blown away. Satisfied all my spice and hummus desires in one- score!
Lastly, these G2G bars need some love. Since they’re a bigger sized bar, they’re perfect for when you find yourself away from home, and you know you won’t be home for a few hours. I love their chocolate chip flavor, with their peanut butter coming in a close second 😉
What I Did: Well, I had spring break, but sadly, that was spent studying for the AP US History exam I take in May. Nothing too exciting, as everyday was spent at my desk, hunched over a 600 page book and ten pounds of flashcards.
Pictured above: stuDYING in Whole Foods with all the eats- ah yes, perfect.
I did make a pretty big life change, which I detailed in this post here. I cannot thank you guys for all the support I felt as soon as I posted it. I started crying when I saw all the sweet comments, and your support means more than you will ever know.
Okay, okay, besides school, I do have a life. I reunited with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while, and booked a very exciting trip to see a close friend of mine!
What I Watched: A ton of NFL Draft coverage and NBA Basketball. Opening day was this month, but sadly, the Padres did not put up a good showing…
What I Read: Besides my AP Book?…
What I Listened To: Once again, podcasts take the cake. This month, I found myself loving Jalen and Jacoby more than ever, but the usual favorites of Bill Simmons, The Ringer, Around the NFL, and Dave Dameshek still remain.
For music, I found myself LOVING this “Pulse” playlist from my friend, Emily. It’s got such a variety of music, but I needed a change.
I’ve also made a Spotify playlist of country, alternative, and good throwback songs (Daughtry, I’m looking at you) that lasts about two hours. It’s the perfect amount of time for getting homework done, and the music generally keeps me focused.
What I Blogged: Here are some of my favorite posts from this month:
What I Miss: Last year, almost a year ago, I went to Coachella with one of my best friends, Mirai. Not a day goes by I don’t miss it. Gah, THE MEMORIES!!!
