Oh June, you were a good month. Actually, a great month! I spent a week in Ohio with Maddie, became a senior in high school, got a job, AND attended a normal sleep schedule!!!!! WOOOOOO!!!! I’m not gonna lie though- as much as I loved June, July is my favorite month (and my busiest). For starters, it’s my birthday month, so obviously it’s my favorite 😉 I also go to my sleep away camp that I’ve been attending for eight years now, so I consider it my home. I’m a first time counselor this year, so I’m even more excited to spend the week there! And when I get back from camp, I have senior portraits and wisdom teeth removal- what fun! But, let’s stick with June.
Country Music- I’ve always LOVED country music. I get super fed up when people insult it, because I just find it to be so fun to listen to. In June, I listened to more country music than every before. With lots of the major sports coming to an end, I haven’t had as many podcasts to listen to while I drive, so I’ve been turning to my Spotify to cure my boredom. If you’re a country music fan, Spotify is the place for you, because they got countless playlists to follow.
Cereal- Very generic, I know. I just REALLY LOVE CEREAL. I haven’t felt like cooking all month because it’s been so hot, so cereal has been a must. I love mixing muesli and One Degree Organic’s cereal together with some bananas, PB, and more add-in’s for the ultimate breakfast. It’s just so simple. I’ve been sleeping more, so that usually results in lazier breakfasts. But seriously people- CEREAL IS SO GOOD AND UNDERRATED.
Sleep- My sleep schedule has been amazing this month. I’ve been sleeping 9+ hours, and I feel 30x better than I ever have. I usually go to bed around 11 and wake up at 8ish, which still leaves me time for a relaxing morning before the day truly begins.
Yoga- Was this a favorite last month? Not sure. Anyways, I’m ALL about yoga. I finally realized what the hype was, and I’m kicking myself for not jumping on the band wagon earlier. I recently nailed my crow pose, and even though it’s a beginner pose, I’m EXTATIC about it! Everyone I’m friends with has told me that I’m much calmer and happier on the days I do yoga, and I feel it too.
Naturally Nutty PB- God, this stuff is GOOD. Maddie sent me some to try and it’s outta this world. First off- the jars are HUGE. Compared to some other PB’s, it goes such a long way. I’ve already eaten ¾ of the jar, and I opened it a week ago. IT’S AN OBSESSION. When I run out, I’m ordering some more FOR SURE.
Purely Elizabeth Probiotic Granola– Guys, the hype is REAL. I’m sure you’ve seen it all over Instagram and on other blogs, but believe me when I say this the best granola out there. The chunks are to die for, and the flavor is so authentic. It doesn’t taste strange because it’s a “probiotic” granola- infact, I think it tastes even better than the normal granola. Get yourself some and thank me later.
OJ: Made in America- I am a big fan of the 30 for 30’s. They’re always done so well, so I had pretty high expectations for this series. If you’re un familiar with it, it’s a five part mini series on the OJ Simpson trial. It details his life before the trail, the trial itself, and the fall out afterwards. The documentary takes an interesting look at how the whole situation was handled, and my entire perspective has changed. Props to ESPN for yet another great 30 for 30.
Podcast of the month: Bill Barnwell’s podcast has been my obsession, and the best part is that he also has a Bachelorette recap, which I LOVE.
