Happy Spring! (I’m kind of late, whoops).
As you may have noticed, I’ve decided to make these into monthly favorites, rather than weekly. Honestly, I don’t think my life is exciting enough to do these weekly, and I knew I’d forget to write one within three weeks. #lesbehonest. But for now, lets get in to what I did, read, ate, enjoyed, etc. this month!
What I Ate: March was the month of lazy meals. I had multiple weeks where I ate oatmeal everyday before school, and had either oatmeal or a smoothie bowl on the weekend. I blame the bad lighting before school, as it took away ALL my creativity. But hey- I love me some goooodddddd oats.
My favorite combination recently? Walnuts, almond butter, fresh berries and banana, Purely Elizabeth granola, and hemp hearts!
What I Listened To: As you may know, I have a never ending love for sports podcasts. My all time favorites are Bill Simmons , Around the NFL, The Lowe Post, and Jalen and Jacoby. I’m still loving Serial, but I gotta be honest, I have to listen to it at least three times to fully comprehend the story, but maybe that’s because I listen to it when I’m busy.
As for songs, I’ve re-discovered Daugherty, as well as old Maroon Five and Train songs, which makes me way too happy. Whenever I need a good study session, I play these songs and study away. Also, who doesn’t love a good jam jesh to Drops of Jupiter, Home, or She Will Be Loved?!
What I Watched: A WHOOLLLEEEEE lotta March Madness. Most of my guy friends don’t watch sports, so I found myself making friends with a bunch of random guys in my grade simply based on the fact that our brackets were busted as soon as Michigan St. lost. I take pride in saying I had Yale > Baylor and Providence > USC, though 😉 Who do you have going all the way?! I HAD Michigan St winning the whole thing, but sadly, that isn’t gonna happen. Right now, I’m hoping UCONN can somehow pull off the upset!
What I Did: Well, I went whale watching for my marine biology class, but I got extremely sea sick ten minutes in despite taking three dramamine, so let’s just say that wasn’t the BEST experience. However, it was one of my best friends birthday who happens to be in the class with me, so we got to spend the day together! (Or at least, the first two hours before me and every other sick kid- aka the entire class basically- passed out on different benches for two hours).
Also did this kinda cool thing where I went self hosted?????? Yeah, I guess that’s a big deal! I cannot thank you guys enough for everything. Without your constant support, kind words, shares, feedback- EVERYTHING- I wouldn’t be the blogger I am today and wouldn’t have the opportunities I do. I could write an entire book about how thankful I am for you guys, so I’ll keep this short and sweet 😉
Anything Else: Wrote a term paper, cried way too much about pre-calc stress, and discovered that boats and I aren’t friends. All in all, an eventful month!
