I love brussel sprouts. Steamed, roasted, raw- you name it, I love it. For a while, I’ve had the idea of trying this idea and I’m so happy I got the guts to try it because boy is it amazing! It taste amazing, and the brussel sprouts get all crunchy but there’s still a maple taste to it and GAH I’m obsessed.
Brussel sprouts (I don’t really measure it out but how ever much you’d like)
1 tbsp honey/maple syrup/agave (really whatever you’d like- In the photos I show honey but I ended up using maple syrup
Non stick spray OR 1 tsp olive oil (any oil would do)
Pre-heat oven to 350 F. Cup your brussel sprouts up (I like to cut them in 1/2, then haft the halves, if that makes sense). Place them in a bowl and pour your syrup/honey/agave over them. STIR STIR STIR. I recommend using your hands to stir- they will get sticky but that’s normal. On a baking sheet, spray with non stick spray and place sprouts on there, spreading them out evenly so they all cook evenly. Once your oven is ready, place them in there for 20-25 minutes, depending on how crispy you’d like them! I like mine pretty crispy, but it’s completely up to you. Once done, pull out and let sit for 5 minutes to cool down. You can serve this as a side or make a bunch and eat it alone- it’s up to you! I usually eat them with a protein (chicken or fish) and some sort of grain (quinoa, barley, or couscous). These are super tasty and I promise that people will enjoy them!
