Hey guys… so, no What I Ate Today Today (man that sounds awkward). This post is meant as a life catch up post, because as often as I post photos of myself and my recipes, I do not tell you what’s ACTUALLY happening. Here’s a quick recap from the past few weeks!
I’ve never been a huge extrovert if you couldn’t tell. I was talking to one of my blogging best friends, Maddie, about this, and we both prefer a quiet Friday over a party (unless there’s football involved, which in that case, bring on the yelling!). My friends and I have been soooooo social lately that as much as I love it, I am constantly looking for time to balance my life out.
Went to winter formal, had the time of my life 😉
No, we’re not dating!! My dress is from Urban Outfiters, but they’re not selling it anymore 🙁
OH MY GOD SCHOOL. Here’s a quick lil recap in photos
Started my term paper for AP History and am currently drowning in notecards from the test I have next week (to anyone who’s great with early 20th century history- help a sista out!) You know that sarcastic smiling emoji? That describes me perfectly right now. I’ve had to put both my blog and tennis (infinite crying emojis) on the back burner to deal with this class, and I will forever be worried it’s not enough. #teamperfectionists Also thankful for my friend, Dana, for keeping me sane in that class and helping me constantly… you the real MVP 😉
I’m also in the middle of surviving pre-calculus, and let me tell you… as someone who hates math, this class is NOT my friend. I love my teacher, but man, I just wish sin and cos would go away for good.
As strange as it sounds, the highlight of my academic life right now… is my term paper???? I’m writing about a topic I’m extremely passionate about, so at least I’m enjoying the research!
Meals have been ANYTHING but exciting. If you can’t tell by my Instagram, I’ve been eating oatmeal almost everyday because 1.) I love oatmeal and 2.) It’s below 40 degrees every morning, so anything but a nice warm bowl of oats doesn’t appeal to me! Not companing though- a good bowl of oats never hurt anyone 😉
For dinners, it’s normally roasted veggies with some sort of protein and a potato of sorts. If I’m feeling adventurous, I’ll whip up some pasta and shrimp or zoodles with tempeh… I’m usually studying while my dinner is cooking, so I like things I can stick in and cook!
CAN WE TALK ABOUT TAYLOR SWIFTS FEARLESS ALBUM. I’m ending off the post with this because often times, it is the highlight of my day besides seeing my friends. I bought the album on CD a few weeks ago so I could listen to it on the way to school to pump myself up, and BOY does it work. I’ve never gone to first period biology so excited to learn about sharks!!! Yeah- SHARKS!!!! That is how pumped up the album makes me, and I am convinced it is one of the top ten best albums ever produced (EVER… in the history of music).
Yeah, so I’m very overwhelmed right now. Thankfully, I’m still producing recipes for you guys, as well as weekly content. However, if I don’t post a recipe for a week, or go two weeks without a What I Ate Today, I hope you can understand how crazy life is. I’m spending my February break writing papers, studying for AP’s, and touring schools- not my idea of a “break”. Anyways, I’m making the most of what I’m blessed with, and trying not to look at everything so negatively. I’ll see you guys soon with another recipe!
