July rivals December as my favorite month hands down. Actually, the only thing that makes December my favorite month is Christmas, so really, July IS my favorite month. It’s my birthday month and I go to my favorite place on earth- my sleep away camp. I wrote a whole post about it a few days ago, so I won’t go too in depth with that. With that being said, let’s get on into my other favorites!
1.) My 16th birthday! Yup- I turned sixteen! I had the most amazing birthday ever. It stated with a family dinner the night before, and then on my actual birthday I hung out with my friends. We went to a local café for lunch, and I had a blast! I got to see my close friends who I hadn’t seen in a while due to tennis and other commitments, which made me so happy.
Mama’s homemade strawberry shortcake- my favorite!
The greatest birthday lunch a girl cold ask for- grilled salmon salad with avocado, bell pepper, tomatoes, and a homemade mango salsa thanks to Claire’s On Cedros.
Later that day, my best friend and I went to a Lady Antebellum / Sam Hunt / Hunter Hayes concert- aka the best concert I’ve ever been to. Lady Antebellum is my all time favorite band, and we were in the pit! I got to touch Sam Hunt, Hunter Hayes, and all three members of Lady Antebellums hand!! Hunter even said “happy birthday Danielle”, which basically made my life.
And before I get any questions… I get my license August 3rd!!
2.) Camp I won’t go too in-depth about this considering that I wrote a huge post about it, but all I will say that it is the greatest week of the entire year, every year. The happiness it brings me is unlike anything else.
3.) Pumpkin Spice Salsa- I know what you’re thinking. Pumpkin spice salsa?! In July?!?! Are you crazy?!?! Yes, yes I am. I kid you not though- it tastes really good! Defiantly different than other salsa’s I’ve had, and it has a very fall taste to it, but it was delicious and devoured way too quickly.
4.) Homemade Mango Salsa- I am a salsa connoisseur. I put it on EVERYTHING. My mom bought fresh mangos on sale, and since I’m too lazy to actually cut up a mango everyday, I created mango salsa! I used one mango and some tomatoes; it gave it the perfect sweet and savory combo! When mangos go back in season, I’m defiantly making this again.
5.) Costco Creamy Almond Butter- aka heaven aka what dreams are made of. This is the BEST almond butter I’ve found, and it’s cheap as well! For a huge jar, it’s about $11, which is more than other almond butters, but you get almost three jars of a normal size in one of these. That sentence makes no sense, but to put it simply: larger jar = more almond butter while saving a ton of money. It’s extremely creamy, which is my favorite! The only thing I recommend doing is placing it in a glass mixing jar and stirring everything when you open it, then putting it back in the jar. This way you don’t have to stir it every time you open it.
6.) Mint Green Nails- This color screams summer! I love pretty pastel nails, and I think this one is my favorite.
