Wait… it’s July?! I’m sixteen in ten days?!?!?!?! I DRIVE IN ONE MONTH???!?!??!?!??? Hello July, I’m welcoming you with open arms. With that being said, June was an AMAZING month. It started off in Europe (I wrote a huge post about it here, so I won’t go into it on this post), then went to the last day of school (officially a junior, woo!!), and ended with goodbyes (one of my close friend’s left for college) and a ton of tennis (played everyday for three weeks straight!). Here’s what I loved during the month.
1.) Friday Night Lights– As you know, I’m not a huge reader. So it’s a big deal when I read a book for fun. Recently I’ve been doing that a lot, and this month I read Friday Night Lights. It’s based on a Texas high school and life during football season. Basically it’s about football, so of course I would love it. Even if you don’t like football, I highly recommend you check it out!
2.) Passion Fruit Dark Chocolate– Picked this up in France, and I’ve been adding it to EVERYTHING. We bought ten bars of it, and we only have two left. Excuse me while I cry…
3.) Mangoes– On sale this entire month at Sprouts! I look advantage very time I went, and they were the perfect ripeness!
4.) Kashi Trail Mix Bar– If you guys saw, the Kashi Chocolate and Chia Seed bar was my obsession for the longest time. However, it melted easily and I ran out waaayyy too quickly. Thus, the trail mix bar comes in! Much less messy and has a much different taste. Perfect for an on the go snack!
5.) Purely Elizabeth Granola– FINALLY pick up this granola, and I now see what I’ve been missing out on It has such a good taste to it, and it has great, natural ingredients. Yes, it is very expensive, but it is 110% worth it.
6.) Gilmore Girls– I’m all caught up with Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal (cry), so it was time for a new show. Finally listened to the hype of Gilmore Girls, and it does not disappoint! I love the quirkiness of the characters, and it’s very different than a lot of shows I watch. Plus, it’s set in Connecticut, which happens to be my home state!
7.) The best of all- I CUT MY HAIR!!! It was completely spontaneous, and I cut off much more than I anticipated. I got about five inches off I’d say, and I LOVE IT. I feel like I can never go back to long hair. Shorter hair is so much easier to manage, and it takes little-no time to dry! And please ignore how I look- I had just finished tennis and didn’t have any makeup on.
To give you a bit of clarity, this is how my hair looked before.
Doesn’t look like much of a difference, but it’s HUGE. I feel like a different person!
Well, that’s it for June. Onto July! Hope you all are having a great start to your summer, and stay cool!
