Seriously- it’s April?! WHAT THE HECK. Feels like yesterday I passed my permit test and had my winter formal the same day (now that was a crazy few hours…) Anyways, on with my favorites!
1.) This Spicy Egg White Salad from Trader Joes! This is the perfect snack for me, but it’d probably be great in a giant salad or with some meat + a grain (I guess we’ll have to see… won’t we 😉 ) I ate this on my way to a ski week in Breckenridge with my family, and it tied me over for the long car ride. I give it an 11/10.
2.) Costco salsa is extremely underrated may I just say. I’m ALL for trying out fancy salsas from Trader Joes, Whole Foods, etc, but this one is just as tasty, and you get two HUGE cans of it for the price of two tiny/medium sized tubes from anywhere else. Not saying it’s better than the ones from TJs, but it is defiantly a great salsa.
3.) Breckenridge, Colorado has completely stolen my heart. My family and I go on one nice trip each year, and it’s usually this ski trip. I’ve always loved it, but this year I’ve really grown to adore the people and the environment. Do you know how nice it is to be able to talk to people about health foods + country music and not be completely judged?! These are my people… If sports writing doesn’t work out, I’ll defiantly consider moving to Denver.
Since I was an ice skater for so long, skiing is extremely natural to me, which is why I love it so much. On my first day, my dad and I went up to the top of the mountain (about 12,302 feet altitude) and skied some bowls. It was the most exhilarating thing I’ve ever done. That’s where I got the photo above from- I took it about haft way through skiing the bowl. Breathtaking.
3.) This grey Nike jacket. Truth be told, my mom found this at a thrift shop when she was donating some tennis balls (the thrift shop donates all proceeds to animal shelters), and I stole it from her. It keeps me extremely warm and is super comfy- whats not to love?
4.) Podcast are basically my obsession. I love listening to them in the car, when I’m getting ready for school, or when I don’t feel like watching TV while working out. As you can see, I only listen to sports podcast, but they have thousands of podcast from all different genres (beauty, health, funny, etc) to choose from. Plus, they’re all free! I’m obsessed with my sports podcast, and can’t go a day without listening to some.
PS- Bill Simmons is HILARIOUS.
5.) I’m not much of a reader, but boy is this a good book. Someone Like You is so well written, and if you’ve never read a Sarah Dessen book, you’re missing out on so much in life. Every book she writes has me in tears by the end, and makes me want to read more. Check her out, and specifically this book.
That’s all for this month! Check back next month to see what I loved in the month of April.
