As someone who doesn’t eat most meats, it can be hard for me to get protein sometimes. That’s why beans are so great- they’re a task and easy source of protein that doesn’t break the bank. However, like most things, after a while I get tired of the same old beans. One day, I decided to experiment and… BOOM. Roasted Chickpeas were born.
I’m obsessed with these babes. They’re so tasty and the paprika adds a break taste. I love these in salads or on their own. Besides paprika, I love using chili powder and garlic salt on these, but it really depends on what I’m feeling for the day. I highly recommend trying these- they will change your life 😉
INGREDIENTS (Serves one):
1/2 cup garbanzo beans/chickpeas
1 tsp-1 tbsp paprika powder
1 tsp oil of choice (or non stick spray- I usually use olive oil for this)
Line your baking sheet with tin foil. In a separate bowl, combine beans, paprika (or seasoning of choice), and oil. Mix it all together, and transfer to baking sheet. Place them in the over at 350 for 25-30 minutes, depending on how crisp you like them. It’s that simple! Once done, add these to a salad, eat them on their own- whatever your heart desires.these are great for a side dish or even an afternoon pick me up.
