Football is coming to an end, and as much as I may cry about it, I’m gonna #BRINGTHEBOOM today 😉
As long as I could remember, the Super Bowl was always my weakness, and not just for the football. The food that was served at every single party I went to was always so rich and heavenly that I couldn’t stop eating and would wind up on the couch regretting every life choice I had ever made (you can imagine how that played out).
As I’ve grown older, I’ve discovered that a lot of people are in my position, and that it’s okay to indulge in moderation. However, I like to EAT, so knowing what I’m eating is so important to me. I’ve also discovered my number one weakness- popcorn.
Please tell me I’m not alone. When I was younger, I couldn’t go to the movies without eating a family size tube of buttered popcorn. I think I enjoyed the popcorn more than the food if we’re being honest… anyways, those days are long gone. Now, I enjoy snacking on healthier alternatives, which is why I’m so excited to bring BOOMCHICKAPOP to my Super Bowl party this year. BOOMCHICKAPOP is an up and coming popcorn brand that proves healthy can taste good, and you can get all the flavors without the fats. My personal favorite? The lightly salted, but asking me to pick my favorite is like asking me to decide between oatmeal and oatmeal- IMPOSSIBLE.
BOOMCHICKAPOP is so great not only because of it’s simplicity, but also because of it’s ingredients. I remember being taken aback in Target by the fact that I could actually read what the back said, and there were only four- YES, FOUR- ingredients!! Every single “lightly salted” “lightly buttered” “low fat” popcorn out there is full of chemicals, and the first ingredient is usually something only found in a foreign lab.
BOOMCHICKAPOP is the best popcorn option for halftime this year at your party, and it doesn’t break the bank either. Most healthier popcorn’s can cost up to $5 per bag, but Angie’s? Less than $3. That means you can stock up on all the goods and only need a twenty dollar bill!! In case you want to bring some other things, here are some great recipes from some of your favorite bloggers:
Croquetas de Jamon from The Spice Girl Blog- say the title and you’ll have people drooling ASAP.
Sweet Potato Brownies from Beets Me- come on, there’s always room for dessert!
Loaded Sweet Potato Skins from The Balanced Berry- we all have a southern foodie side in us…
Rancho Roasted Chickpeas from Pancake Warrior- for when the BOOMCHICKAPOP doesn’t satisfy our crunch needs 😉
Can’t wait to see what you guys eat up on Super Bowl Sunday! Just remember- it’s okay to indluge, and a few treats won’t hurt you. Enjoy the day, and make sure you eat lots of good popcorn (I will be) 😉
