Two weeks in a row I have taken photos of everything I ate, and two weeks in a row I will pat myself on the back for it! Hey guys, it’s Wednesday, so naturally I’m showing you what I ate. For today’s, I was actually on a college tour, so my eats are going to be very different than normal. However, I’m not sharing the college I toured simply because I do not want to seem like I prefer it over other schools. Let’s begin!
We were staying at my aunts house, so that meant we had to drive to the gym instead of use the one at our house. Because of this, I had to wake up earlier, and as someone who freaks out about missing an alarm, you can imagine I was in a full panic when it came to what time I had to wake up. The one benefit of this was that I got time to enjoy my coffee before the gym instead of rushing off. I also had a pre-workout snack today, which is strange because I normally do my training sessions without any food in my stomach.
It was a green apple, of course 😉 (My favorite apple if you’re wondering)
By mom and I were PUMPED for the gym thanks to some Miley Cyrus throwbacks I found in my music library (anyone else still love The Climb or are we the only ones???)
Post gym was another apple (even though it wasn’t green, it was still good) and an unpictured Trader Joes yogurt. My aunt didn’t have plain greek yogurt, so I went with what I had available. Honestly, I didn’t love it, and I think I’ll stick to plain greek yogurt or Siggi’s flavored yogurt in the future. Oh, and I froze it overnight, which is such a (strange) yet awesome way of eating your yogurt 😉
We went to lunch a little later than I thought, so I took the opportunity to read more OF MY NEWEST OBSESSION. I love this author, and this is his best book yet!! It’s caught “Caught” by Harlan Coben, and I highly recommend it!
And that meant I got hungry again, so I had a Nola Bar and a handful of these quinoa chips my aunt had laying around 😉
Before the tours, my mom, aunt, and I all went to a local cafe for lunch. I had THE BEST HOMEMADE HUMMUS EVER (sorry, it was just really damn good) on house made grain bread with lox, capers, and greens. It was so delicious, and you better bet I took some hummus home 😉 Also had the best cold brew I’ve ever had, so that was a major win
My moms sandwich? Two fried eggs, cheese, bacon, and greens on house made bread. She said it was amazing!!
During the campus tour, I started to feel light headed because of the heat, so I pulled a Ginny Bakes bar out of my purse to keep me sain until dinner
I grabbed some veggies from the salad bar and some rice cakes from my purse in between the bar and dinner, because lord knows we can’t make good choices hangry…
Dinner before a basketball game was an ammaaazzzzzziiinngggg chicken salad with house made pesto, sundried tomato dressing, parmesan cheese, and some veggies… not much of a chicken person anymore, but when I get a craving, I listen 😉
Post basketball game, I had a Lara Bar I found in my purse. My dinner didn’t have a ton of carbs, so I think that’s why I was still hungry!
Hope y’all enjoyed, and let me know what your favorite snacks are because clearly, I need to branch out!
