Am I the only one pumped about daylight savings?! For us food bloggers, it’s the chance to photograph past the hours of 5:00 PM, so maybe that’s why 😉 Anyways, today’s What I Ate Today was taken on a Saturday filled with school work. For reference, I never do What I Ate Today’s when I hang out with my friends, because our eats are so spontaneous and mixed up, I’m sure I’d forget. However, if you’d like to see one of those, let me know! Anyways, lets begin.
I had a morning event to go to, so I was up early to get a workout in before the event. My post workout of choice was greek yogurt with EatNuttzo chocolate peanut butter, Purely Elizabeth pumpkin fig granola, fresh fruit, and my new obsession- pumpkin seeds!
After the event, I came home and worked on my term paper for my AP US History class. I was HANGRY and did not want to deal with stopping 1/2 way through, so I ate one of these KIND bars to hold me over (old photo- I don’t keep my phone near me when I’m doing school work cause I know I’ll get distracted). I think this is my new flavor, but they’re all good so I can’t decide.
I am the ultimate planner, and that day, I told myself I would only write a paragraph for my paper. Well… I wrote a paragraph and a 1/2 but I stopped 1/2 way through!! Progress, right?! The paper’s due in three weeks, so I’m not freaking out too much.
Post homework sesh, so about 3 hours, I was done for the day and turned to blogging. The weekends are my recipe time, so lunch was a pasta recipe coming soon to the blog. Not gonna give too much away except y’all are gonna love it 😉
After lunch, I went straight back to studying for about forty five minutes, and once I was done with that, I started editing the photos from the recipe shoot. As you can tell, my weekends revolve around school, blogging, and my friends. I usually have tennis today, but my coach is out of town and I had too much on my plate for the day 🙁 Exciting times, right?
Around 6:30, I realized I’d been editing photos and writing blog posts for almost two hours with no break, so I stopped what I was doing and grabbed a quick dinner of leftovers. All it was was some noodles, dijon baked tempeh, EatBanza pasta with Trader Joe’s Traditional Marinara (no sugar added!!) and nutritional yeast, roasted carrots and kale in coconut oil and garlic powder, avocado, and spinach underneath.
I like bowls the size of my face if you couldn’t tell 😉 Also, post photo I added more of the pasta sauce because I am obsessed.
Late night snack of choice after FaceTiming some friends for a few hours was one of Arctic Zero’s new flavors- the cookie dough!! I’m so impressed with them and I love the quality of their new formula. Zero shame in saying I ate the entire pint and would gladly do it again- the chunks are out of this world.
That’s all for today- what did you enjoy?!
