Hey foodies- you all know the drill. I honestly have nothing exciting to write for this intro, which prooooobbbbably isn’t how you should start a blog post, but considering I’m writing this at 5:00 AM on a Friday after a long week with even a longer weekend of studying coming up, I’d figure it’s best to keep it simple. Let’s dig in!
Remember last week when I wasn’t on my oatmeal game? I’m still not craving it like I was a few weeks ago, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have some 😉 Today, I added some homemade granola, EatNuttzo chocolate peanut butter, and frozen cherries (aka a very underrated addition to ANYTHING). I also mixed in some egg whites and chia seeds for protein + fiber per usual. Sah good. SAHHHHHHH good.
I headed off to school for the day, and thankfully that breakfast kept me full until lunch time. For lunch today, I had a turkey, veggie, and hummus sandwich on Ezekiel bread using Hope Foods siraccha hummus (spicy AND AMAZING).
I stole an orange from my neighbor’s tree (whoops- sorry?? 😉 ) Actually, not really, because this was the greatest apple I’ve ever had.
About an hour later, during a free period, I munched on a GIGANTIC green apple and one of these juices from Juice in the Raw that I’m loving!! Fun fact: I prefer tart green apples- they’re soooooo good!!
Snacks for the rest of the day included carrots with more of that hummus and some of these Simple Mills rosemary + sea salt chips (HOLY COW SO GOOD).
I’ve been craving yogurt bowls when I get home from school, so today I whipped some up using plain Whole Foods 365 Brand greek yogurt, homemade granola, and some berries with allll the cinnamon. That stuff is good, man. Naturally, I forgot to take a photo. Go me.
After getting through most of my homework, I stopped what I was doing and realized something: a.) I was hungry for dinner and b.) I WAS CRAVING PIZZA. I found these Trader Joes Garlic Naan crusts in my freezer, so I pulled one out, added some vegetables on top with swiss cheese (my current favorite- sorry feta 🙁 ), and a fried egg for good measure 😉
You gotta get these naan crusts- they’re perfect for quick, ten minute meals, plus they taste like heaven. But then again, doesn’t pizza always taste like heaven?
And for the usual night snack- I semi-switched it up. I found some Purely Elizabeth cereal lying around in my cereal stash (it’s pretty extensive, not gonna lie…), so I added that to the puffed kamut bowl, along with some of a Charged Chocolate bar (you can use my discount code AMZNDANI for 20% off!) I’m loving these bar, and I’m not gonna lie- it’s some of the best chocolate I’ve ever had.
About an hour later, my mom surprised me with a Justin’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup because she knew I was stressed. It certainly helped!
Today’s eats were kind of different, and I hope you enjoyed! See ya soon, foodies 😉
