The college tours have begun, and my family and I have concluded that we will be gaining at least five pounds on each visit without any shame. My first was one University of Wisconsin, so today I’m showing you what a day of eats there was!
Breakfast: This was the day we were traveling from California to Wisconsin, so I packed some overnight oats. I kid you not, these got quite the look during TSA, and I was pulled over for them. Once I explained what they were, I was let through, but with hesitation! I soaked some ground chia seeds and oats in cashew milk overnight and then topped it with some fruit, granola (Purely Elizabeth of course), and pistachios. Kept me full for hours!
Snacked on these World Peas Fava Crisps all through out the day. I love this favor and was so happy when they reached out to me- can’t wait to try more! They’re a good source of protein for on the go snacking, and the over all taste is very good.
On our connecting flight, I got a bit hungry so I had one of my favorite bars KIND bars. I love their new sweet and savory line, and I’m a bit more than obsessed (my pantry is proof).
Lunch once we landed in Wisconsin was a tuna sandwich eaten on the go. It was your standard tuna sandwich with some veggies- nothing special. It did keep me full during our long car ride to the town of Madison, so thats a plus.
Once we got to Madison we were all starving, so we got an early dinner that night. My mom and I split a salmon sandwich that had tomato, greens, and roasted peppers on sourdough. Also had a side salad and picked at a few of my moms fries. Soo good- if you’re in Wisconsin, I’m warning you that you will gain a food baby, but you will have no regrets.
After the salmon sandwich, we went back to our hotel and just sat around. I helped my friend work on her blog and did some graphic work for mine as well. I snacked on a few of those bean chips (unpictured) through out the night again, but other than that, that was a day of eats. I was less hungry this day and I blame it on all the travel. Ate plenty of good eats on this trip, so don’t worry 😉
