Welcome to “What I Ate Todat”! I’ll be doing these as much as I can, but I thought this would be an interesting way to show you what I eat! Obviously I don’t eat my recipes everyday, and to be honest, some of my meals are pretty boring. However, I love making my meals exciting, even if I’m not taking pictures of them.
Note- I was traveling this day, so not everything is going to look presentable/ I only made two of these meals.
Pre-tennis snack: I had an early morning tennis lesson, and didn’t have time to make breakfast. Also, I was planning on photographing my breakfast for the blog, and that takes a lot of time (I’m a huge perfectionist). I love snacking on some of my homemade granola as pre tennis fuel (I do this basically every time I have tennis) because it gives me enough energy to fuel through without feeling sick from a bunch of food.
Breakfast: I just had some basic oatmeal with banana, cranberries, strawberries, and more homemade granola (I’m obsessed!)
Lunch: We were driving to the dessert, and I knew we were going to be in the middle of no where for a while, so I packed my lunch. This is an example of a typical school lunch for me- Lean protein, healthy carb, and some veggies. I had some turkey (I just cut up a turkey burger into chunks), a ton of barley (If you’ve never tried barley, you’re missing out), some chopped brussel sprouts, and some tomatoes on top of a bed of romaine + salsa.
Dinner: It was my dads birthday, so we went out to a restaurant. I got this delicious Ahi salad with Ahi tuna, noodles, veggies, and some lettuce. It came with a vinaigrette so I drizzled that on top. This filled me up for so long, and the tuna was amazing. 11/10 would get again.
Post Dinner Snack: I brought a bag of popcorn kernels that I air popped and then added some stevia + salt (IT’S AMAZING TRY THE COMBO!) I usually would add a tsp of oil or so but since I was in a hotel, I didn’t have any. Also had a cup of my favorite tea, Good Earth Sweet & Spicy. It’s an all time favorite.
NOTE- I forgot to take photos of these when I actually ate them, so I apologize for the same background in all the photos!
Snacked on this Kids Clif Bar in the car (I forgot to take a photo in the car but I brought another one so this photo is in the hotel room sorry!) I’m not the biggest fan of Clif Bars, but for some reason I prefer the kids version if I’m hungry and don’t have food on hand. Also- am I the only one who thinks all Clif Bars taste exactly the same, regardless of the flavor?!
I’m OBSESSED with this fiber cereal from Trader Joes! My mom started getting it for herself and I’ve slowly stolen all of it. It’s so tasty, and taste great dry (I hate putting milk in my cereal… super weird I know!) But my mom says it taste good with milk, so if you like milk with your cereal, go for it! I had some of this while I worked on blog related stuff.
I eat two rice cakes + a green apple EVERYDAY. It’s this weird habit of mine but I love it. Again, I ate this in the car and I forgot to take a picture so I took one of the apples we got at the hotel.
