Oh hey… school is back in full swing, and um, I suck at taking photos of everything I eat.
Okay, but in all honesty, this weeks WIAT is going to be little photo, major talking. Hope you’re okay with that, because, well… we’ve already begun!
I’ve got my school morning routine down to a science, and my favorite part of that is being able to make a nice breakfast. Yes, I do have to wake up earlier, but it’s 300% worth it! Today’s breakfast was my classic egg white oatmeal cooked on the stove top and topped with a banana, fresh berries, Purely Elizabeth granola, coconut, chopped pistachios, and cinnamon.
10:45 lunch?!?! Thats when I eat breakfast on the weekends! Thankfully, my breakfast keeps me very full until then, but still. Usually lunch is the same thing- a turkey avocado sandwich on Food For Life ezekiel bread with mustard, tomato, and spinach. I also had some fruit, carrots, and a Siggi’s yogurt on the side, but I forgot to take a photo, of course. You’d think that since I’ve been doing this for almost six month’s I’d have the hang of it, right?!
Usually I have tennis right after school, which means I would be eating a bar of some sort for some quick fuel. However, it POURED today in Southern California, so practice was canceled. I took the opportunity to rush home, power through homework (thank the lord for free periods- I only had an hour or so tonight because I finished everything else during free period), and enjoy this snack. My current favorite bread/carb are Food For Life cinnamon raisin english muffins, and topped with greek yogurt and cinnamon, they make for the perfect after school pick me up!
Our fridge broke during the week, so by the time I photographed this, I was down to a loaf of bread and some greek yogurt as my only fresh foods. Thankfully, I had a ton of frozen fruit, so I whipped up a smoothie bowl for dinner. I used one Sambazon acai pack, 1/2 a frozen avocado, two handfuls of frozen pineapple and strawberries, a scoop or so of greek yogurt and some cashew milk (our ice machine was broken or else I would’ve used that as well to add volume 🙁 ) to blend it. I topped it with Salba Chia chia seeds, Purely Elizabeth granola, and the last fresh peach we had (double frown). After I took this photo, I stuck it in the freezer for ten or so minutes and it got extra thick- aka extra amazing. 30/10 recommend.
Afterwards I had a bowl of cereal with frozen fruit, cashew milk, and a dark chocolate square. Classic me forgot to photograph it, but it’s been my current favorite night snack! (See my snapchat: tennishealthfit for full proof).
