Remember how I said it was boiling hot in California? Well, update: we’ve transitioned from hot 24/7 to hot from 11 AM to 5 PM. Improvements people, improvements.
Post workout, pre SAT practice test (1 month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) breakfast today. I’m not a superstitious person, but for the SAT tests I always eat the same breakfast. I didn’t this day, and I’m worried I did worse because of it. Oh well, it was worth it. All this is is a bowl of egg white oats topped with banana, strawberries, BodyOm nuts, and a HEAPING spoonful of PB2 mixed with cinnamon. I don’t normally use this (I prefer actual peanut butter), but I ran out of my favorite PB that day (crying), so I had to improvise. Enjoyed at 7:30 AM, after my 5:30 AM workout on a Saturday might I add (double crying).
During the SAT we get two five minute breaks, so by the second one I’m getting hungry. I packed a green apple with some unpictured almond butter for a quick snack- the combo never gets old!
After the SAT I had to go straight to a special needs baseball game that I help coach, so I packed this KIND strong bar. It’s definitely my favorite flavor out of the line, but I love all of them!
Sucky photo, but I forgot to take it during the day 🙁
As a high school student, I naturally have a ton of homework. It seems like every weekend I’m studying for a test, and this day was no exception. I went to my favorite coffee shop for two hours and got all my work done, as well as some studying. Felt so good to be able to go home and relax, something I haven’t done in a looonnngggg time! There’s a Whole Foods in the same plaza, so I treated myself to a brown box filled with red and golden beets, chicken, chickpeas, tomatoes, arugula, and the BEST feta ever. Also had a kombucha and some iced coffee from the cafe to keep me going (coffee is basically my blood).
So, I know I just said that I got to relax, but first I had to write my sample piece for internships. Got wrapped up in that, so I made a quick dinner consisting of a Food For Life tortilla filled with cheese, tempeh, corn, and bell pepper that was made into a quesadilla. Later topped with guac, sour cream, and hot sauce (duh).
Ate some sautéed asparagus on the side because #veggies.
I’ve heard a lot about Arctic Zero, so I decided to try it out. This was the peanut butter cup flavor, and it wasn’t that bad!
