I did it!! I successfully photographed everything I ate!! Snacks included!! Woo!!!! In all seriousness, I’m pretty proud of myself, considering I can’t seem to remember for the life of me. Also, I’m sorry if I sound strange- it’s currently 95 degrees in my room and I think I’m going delirious from the heat (reason #1 I did ice skating- I HATE hot weather). Let’s begin!
A heat wave started last week, and was in full effect Sunday. I opted for some banana “ice cream”- aka three frozen bananas, a scoop of Vanilla Bean Vega Protein and Greens , and about 1/4 cup almond milk. Once it blended, I added some almond butter, coconut flakes, and some Purely Elizabeth granola.
After my guitar lesson and a thirty minute tennis session with my mom, I was HANGRY. Before I went to edit my paper, I whipped up a snack consisting of some cucumbers, carrots, and my new obsession- carrot hummus. This one has a kick to it, so I’m all about it 😉
Remember those computer problems I was having? Well, they’re back and better than ever!! I had to go to the Apple store to meet with the Genius Bar, but not without a snack. I grabbed a Siggi’s yogurt to eat beforehand though, as me driving hungry is not a pretty sight.
Turns out we needed groceries, so after the appointment, I went to Sprouts for my family. I found this bar in my car and was too hungry not to pass up.
On the way home from the store, I unwrapped one of these Lara Bars I bought (on sale!!!) and ate it. My hunger was never ending that day, but I’m not complaining 😉
When I got home, I whipped up a SUPER quick meal to eat while I worked on my essay some more. All this is is steamed veggies, tempeh, spinach, avocado, and pasta sauce (strange addition, but it added a nice flavor!!)
Once dinner came around, I was all types of hungry. When I write papers, as like with blog posts, I get in a writing mood, and feel like I can write the entire thing in an hour. To say I got side tracked with writing it is an understatement, so I rewarded myself with the ugliest dinner known to man kind. All this is is sautéed veggies (brussel sprouts, bell pepper, kale in some coconut oil and seasonings), left over spaghetti squash, cauliflower “rice”, an over easy egg, a butt load of nutritional yeast, more of that hummus, and some avocado! I’ve been obsessed with letting the flavors mix together, and these messy bowls are my new favorite quick meal!!
I watched the Scandal season premiere with my mom while I ate this. Thoughts on it?? Leave em below!
Night cap was a pint of Arctic Zero and some almond butter. I love these chunky pints- getting the chunks throughout is heavenly, and I highly recommend them!!
Thoughts on the Scandal premiere??
